Green Commando Earth (GCE) is an open platform for Nepalese youths initiative open to children as well as young people including indigenous Nepalese, school leavers, gap seekers who are looking for contributing their effort and time to develop skills, undertake training and gain experience in the delivery of conservation for Mother Earth. Green Commando Earth focuses on school children of grades 6 to 9, students are future. Green commando Earth carry campaigns to schools in order to aware the students about the importance of environment and enlighting about the various measure of recreating and conserving the environment. Green Commando not also focuses on Environment Students it emphasizes every youth from every sector. Green Commando Earth has reached over 50+ schools of Kathmandu for collecting responses and many more to go after this lockdown.

Green Commando is actively working in the time of lockdown as it’s a high time for all of us to get concerned about the Environment.
On the occasion of World biodiversity Day, 22nd May GCE organized a pledge or suggestion program on how we can conserve our biodiversity locally which seemed to be effective.
On 27 May GCE organized a Talk Series on Importance of Snake in Ecosystem inviting Mr. Sunil Sapkota (MSc.National Management and a snake rescuer) was invited as a key speaker. It was a fruitful webinar where people got to know more about snake characters and types and their role in the environment which wasn’t taken as a topic of concern by most peoples. GCE is also working on the protest of Nijgadh airport. GEC with Sustainability Week Kathmandu is organizing these events in which two episodes are completed. The webinar was organized on the topic Nijgadh Airport: Destruction or Development on the 1st episode Mr. Sanjay Adhikari was invited as a key speaker. He is a Public interest litigator. He has been analyzing the documents of the second international airport from the legal lens from two years and is one of the drafters and pleaders of the Public Interest cased flown in Supreme Court for protection of Nijgadh.
The second episode of Nijgadh Airport was on the topic: “eco-airport” where Ms. Santawana Malakar was invited as a Key speaker. She is an architect. She presented her paper on “Gateway To Nepal: a vision for new Airport” on the national conference organized by the society of national Architects.
GEC has also organized a “Photo contest on importance of tree” on the occasion Of World environment Day 2020, June 5 which aim was to make the youth connected with trees and making them known about the trees around their locality.
We also have an ongoing campaign of म र मेरो कौसी खेती which motives on encouragement of kitchen garden and participation of youth in it. Recently we had a successful talk series on Episode 1 of this campaign where participants jury and the guest speaker shared their experienced based on कौसी खेती.
With the beginning of the project form a table discussion, we had to establish it during 2019 and reached over 50+ schools with a target of collecting response by conducting monthly programs on Environment SDGs and Personality Development. We had received a lot of positive responses regarding our work and suggestion to expand it.
With a risk factor, we had started the journey and we had established our new chapter of it Green Commando Earth Pokhara, Green Commando Earth Chitwan.

We are on the way to develop more chapter on Sindhuli, Lamjung, Rupandehi, Tikapur, Hetauda, Dang, Kannchanpur, Illam, Jhapa and much more especially focused for Environment Science, Agriculture, Forestry and all those student or youth who are really enthusiast to work on the field of nature protection.
